Global Peace Initiative 747SP to be serviced by furloughed United mechanics
N4522V enters C-check in Dallas
Global Peace Initiative’s 747SP has been ferried from Ellington AFB to Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport where it will enter C-check maintenance.

The aircraft ferried from Houston at approximately 15.43 local time on May 5, 2005, for a flight lasting only about 45 minutes.
The aircraft, which earlier this year completed a globe trotting mission to ferry Tsunami relief supplies, will be housed in a Delta Airlines hangar for the duration of the C-check. Maintenance work will be performed by mechanics, some of whom have been recruited from United’s furlough list.
