SANFORD, Fla.–(BUSINESS WIRE)
Orlando Sanford International Airport (SFB) announced today that a Boeing 747SP (N4522V c/n: 22805) operated by Global Peace Initiative is expected to land around 6:00PM Thursday to pick-up supplies for the Tsunami victims in Asia.
Approximately 43,000 lbs. of medical supplies and other miscellaneous items are to be loaded before the aircraft departs around 8:30PM bound for Houston where it will pick-up additional items.
Friday morning, the aircraft will depart Houston, make a stop in Abuja, Nigeria, then continue on to Sri Lanka where the cargo will be offloaded and distributed to those in need.
Orlando Sanford International Airport and TBI Airport Management, Inc. are waiving all normal fees associated with the aircraft landing and being ground handled at the Airport.
