VQ-BMS 747SP of Las Vegas Sands has been damaged during maintenance in CWF – Chennault, Luisiana.
According to reports it all happened on 27:th of August 2020 during the Hurricane Laura. The hurricane swept through the airport and damaged the hangar doors and a B737-BBJ and the 747SP got entangled and they “spun around the hangar” damaging the 747SP severely. Reports say it is written off.
Las Vegas Sands operates 2 x 747SP aircraft.
