3 x 747SP in the air

Today we had a lovely moment to enjoy in 2019.
3 Boeing 747SP in the air at the same time.

Let’s go back 20 years in time and this would never make the news section here at 747sp.com. But today with only 10 active 747SP aircraft, I think it was pretty cool!

3 x 747SP in the air – 2019-06-26

First we had the Omani 747SP A4O-SO c/n: 21785 enroute to MCT – Muscat, Oman after a few days visit to STN – London Stansted.

Then the NASA / SOFIA 747SP N747NA c/n: 21441 departed CHC – Christchurch, New Zealand for a nightly mission.

A few minutes later the Pratt & Whitney Canada 747SP C-GTFF c/n: 22484 took off from YMX – Montreal Mirabel, Canada for it’s mission to testfly new P&W engines.

Must be considered a good day in the 747SP world in 2019!
