It's up for it's first flight in a long while now. First flight of the PW4170 test program. There are 8 - 10 more flights scheduled over the next week or two. Then she will be back in the hangar to have the 4170 stuff taken off. We will then prepare her to take the new GTF motor in the #2 position for flight testing in late June, into July. That will be exciting, seeing Pratt & Whitney's future on the wing. :)

Also, perhaps you've heard already; but the Pratt flight test facility will be moving this coming October. It will be consolidated with the Canadian flight test group, and will be located at Mirabel, Quebec. There will be TWO 747SP there for all to see. N747UT, and N708BA. I have heard that they both will be "C" registered by 2009, so look for new tail numbers on them. There will be a brand spanking new double hangar facility built for them there as well. So, no more fun in Plattsburgh for next year, but it will continue on in Mirabel.

Cheers

N708BA (23 January 2008 20:20:55)

There are 1 replies, with the last one on 23 January 2008 at 20:20:55 by Chazzer

New Bahrain A9C-HAK (ex A6-ZSN) (18 September 2007 07:16:47)

Hi,

have you already seen the newest addition to
Bahrain's Royal Fleet:

I found some pics
http://www.fotocommunity.de/pc/pc/channel/1/extra/new/display/10227464
http://www.jetphotos.net/viewphoto.php?id=6050263
http://img7.myimg.de/A9CHAK747SPBahrainVIPEDf29f1.jpg

In a forum they added some pics:
http://www.aviation-community.de/forum-nord/viewtopic.php?t=3282
http://www.aviation-community.de/forum-nord/viewtopic.php?t=3115

Looks great!

BR Sigi

MRO Nightmares (18 September 2007 02:22:41)

Anyone have MRO nightmares.
